Breakdown of percentage is
10% Tutorial Participation
10% Tutorial Presentation
20% Homework (a total of 3)
20% Midterm
40% Finals
Closed book exam.
This module focuses mainly on proofs of theorems, from linear model and five classical assumptions and to each of the scenarios where the assumptions are violated and how to circumvent them. Time series analysis focuses on stationary and non stationary processes and spurious regression tests. Eviews is taught in the lectures, and to utilise them in tutorial presentations (examples from the textbook).
Overall, Dr Han is very thorough and meticulous, and teaching style is methodical. Exams are doable although slightly tricky. He is very approachable if one is unclear about the topic, and we are encouraged to ask questions directly in lectures. One of the better professors for my econometrics modules.
