This module is interesting. Its teaches about the basics of the financial world and how some common financial products work. There is a lot of maths involved but most are just applying formulas, except for an occasional differentiation. The grading system is 20% assignments, 40% midterms and 40% finals. Stuff covered before the midterms are not tested in the finals.

Dr Zhong is quite boring. He drones on and on about the slides and it is sometimes hard to pay attention, especially since it was an 8am lecture. His accent is manageable and his questions are quite straightforward.

Dr Aekapol is an interesting lecturer. He prepares slides but almost never follows them, using the visualizer instead. Be prepared to copy lots of derivations, which may come out for assignments. Only the final formulas are tested in the finals. Understand the concepts involved as he likes to twist questions a little.
